Wildlife Damage Management Advisor Course Registration

The Pesticide Safety Education Program at NC State University is offering an online Wildlife Damage Management Advisor Course. The course consists of eight self-paced modules that focus on techniques for resolving conflicts with wildlife that are based on the principles of Integrated Pest Management (IPM). Several important topics are addressed, such as safety, wildlife diseases, animal biology, control techniques, pesticides, and ethics. Extension Educators/Agents, Master Gardener volunteers, and other non-licensed people who provide advice for resolving human-wildlife conflicts will find this information helpful.

To access the course, follow the registration directions below. The cost for the course is $25, and is payable through the Extension Foundation website at the time of purchase.

This course does not offer initial certification and is for educational purposes and recertification credit only (as described above).  To become certified in any of the categories listed above, visit the appropriate agencies linked above.

To Register (requires account creation):

STEP 1: Create an account: Go to The Extension Foundation Campus and create an account. You will have the option to log in with Google or Microsoft OR create a unique username and password. If you already have an Extension Foundation account, you can skip this step.

STEP 2: Register

Option 1: Click here to register directly through the course catalog using the same email.

Option 2: Visit The Extension Foundation Campus, log in (or create an account using Google/Microsoft), and search the catalog for the course name (Wildlife Damage Management Advisor Course).

STEP 3: Purchase

On the course listing page, click the Purchase/Enroll button at the bottom of the description and pay using the payment portal (debit or credit cards are also accepted).

STEP 4: Check your dashboard

Return to The Extension Foundation Campus. Your course will be listed under "My Courses" in the navigation pane. (If it does not appear immediately, try logging out and back in).

Obtaining Course Credit

  • Master Gardeners: Simply download and submit your completion certificate to your supervising Extension agent for approval.
  • All Other Credits: Follow the specific directions provided in the "Module WDM Course Completion" within the platform. This includes submitting a Verification Form; our team will then notify the appropriate agency. Please allow up to 30 days for the course credit to be applied to your record.
